Buitoni Past and Present
Every day, Buitoni pasta is enjoyed in over 50 countries, but our ties with Italy remain very strong. One of the most important symbols of our passion for food is the famous Casa Buitoni in Sansepolcro, which was for many years the home of the Buitoni family.

This beautiful neo-classical villa, set among the rolling Tuscan hills, still embodies the soul of Buitoni and nowadays plays an important role in the development and research of new Buitoni products and recipes.

It was more that 170 years ago that a remarkable woman named Giulia Buitoni decided to turn her talent for making exceptional home-made pasta into a business. With her husband's support she pawned her wedding jewellery, bought a few basic machines and adapted them to make pasta. Buitoni was born.
