Penne Rigate:
Diagonally cut quill shaped tubes with a ridged surface. The name originates from the Italian word for quill and rigate means ridges. Penne is the most versatile of shapes as most pasta sauces work well with penne - especially rich meat-based sauces and oven baked dishes. This is a good staple to keep in your cupboard.

Eliche:

Farfalle:
Farfalle means 'butterflies' in Italian. This medium-sized pasta is crimped at the centre and has pinked edges to form the shape of a bow tie or butterfly. This shape is particularly good in pasta salads because of its decorative shape.

Conchiglie:
This seashell shaped pasta gets its name from the Italian word for shells. Just like a seashell conchiglie has a hollow middle, which makes it ideal for holding thick sauces. Conchiglie is also ribbed to ensure the sauce clings to the outside of the pasta.

Cellentani:

Eliche Tricolore:
Tomato and spinach have been combined with durum wheat to create red and green pasta spirals bursting with colour and subtle flavour. The red and green spirals have been mixed with plain pasta spirals to create the traditional three colour mix of Tricolore. Great for adding colour to pasta salads, or mixing with tomato based sauces.

Tortelloni:
Tortelloni is an egg pasta parcel filled with various Italian flavours. So the story goes, the ancient God's were so taken with the beauty of Venus they modelled this pasta on the perfect shape of her navel. Buitoni's Tortelloni is filled with the three traditional fillings: the delicate ricotta cheese & spinach, the highly aromatic porcini mushrooms, or proscuitto crudo (air dried and cured ham). Best served with a simple sauce to allow the flavour of the filling to come through.
